we booked one week in Kerala with Sam who just did everything to make us happy, from the prompt communication, flexibility, organizing stuff, friendliness to even borrowing us money when we had troubles with our ATM cards. We loved the time in Munnar mountains, even though it is a long and crazy journey and Sam picked also very nice beach hotel and just perfect houseboat. If you want to discover Kerala, you will be in good hands with Sam. Just consider the long traveling times, better to stay at least two nights in one place. Only one thing I could give a miss - the adventure/amusement park. There was nothing our kids were allowed to go to and overall it's not a great place, I would rather do a trekking trip to one of the peaks instead.
We booked our holiday to Kerala with Sam after reading a recommendation. I emailed Sam straight away and was pleased when he contacted me straight away via phone call to discuss the details of the trip. I had ideas which Sam took on board but also made suggestions (we were really glad he did). After this discussion, he sent a very professional and in depth itinerary (again we could tweak if needed).
Sam picked us up from the airport at 3am and took us to our treehouse near his hometown of Konni. This was a great experience, living above the river within the trees. The food was fantastic and we ate lots! From our balcony we saw monkeys playing in the trees and kingfishers. A trek through the forest was included but unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see any elephants.
